The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biotechnology invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. William Kobertz.
This position is for an applicant who will use cellular imaging and electrophysiological techniques to fluorescently visualize extracellular K+ from primary neuron-astrocyte co-cultures. Applicants are expected to be able to design and conduct experiments independently.
Full-time postdoctoral position requiring a Ph.D. in neuroscience, physiology, biophysics, or related field.
Isolation, culturing, and recording from of primary neuron-astrocyte co-cultures is required. Infection with Adeno-associated viruses (AAV) and patch clamp fluorometry expertise is desired, but not required.
