A Research Scientist position is available in the molecular pharmacology laboratory of S2F Neurosciences, Inc. The position will involve studying the molecular pharmacology of CNS receptors using advanced molecular techniques using in vitro and in vivo model systems, and using phage display to identify novel binding sequences.
The Research Scientist will spend time maintaining and manipulating tissue culture lines, cloning various transgenes/peptides into expression vectors, production, and purification of recombinant proteins in various systems, and analysis of in vitro and in vivo function in appropriate model systems. An important activity will be conducting phage display binding sequence purification.
Applicants must have a PhD degree, must be eligible to work in the US, and have published experience using molecular neuroscience techniques as well as some experience with quantitative biochemistry / and molecular modeling. Requires a practical understanding of advanced molecular biological techniques.
