A position is open for a postdoctoral researcher at UC San Diego, Department of Neurosciences (La Jolla, San Diego, CA). The successful candidate should have extensive experience with "in vitro" electrophysiology in brain slices, such as whole-cell patch-clamp recordings from individual neurons and extracellular recordings of evoked and spontaneous activity in brain slices. The research project will study synaptic and neuronal mechanisms of early postnatal brain development using mouse genetic models of Down syndrome.
