We seek outstanding and highly motivated applicants with interest in cognitive and affective neuroscience to work with brain imaging tools on multidisciplinary projects. Different research projects focus on networks of attention or networks of emotion, with the aim to combine multimodal neuroimaging methods including fMRI, EEG, and MEG. Our projects also involve neurofeedback training interventions and comparisons of different imaging modalities.

A solid background in neuroimaging with strong methodological skills in statistics, network analysis, and programming is highly desirable.

This work will benefit from state-of-the-art platforms including two 3T MRI scanners, as well as a new 7T and MEG systems fully dedicated to research, with advanced capacities for simultaneous EEG-fMRI recordings. It will also extend ongoing collaborations with other researchers in our center with expertise in signal processing, clinical neurology, neuropsychology, and robotics.

The position is offered in the Cognitive Systems section of the Department of Neuroscience of the University of Geneva (https://www.unige.ch/medecine/neuf/en/), located at the Campus Biotech (https://www.campusbiotech.ch), in the center of the city of Geneva, Switzerland.

The candidate will be part of the Laboratory for Behavioral Neurology & Imaging of Cognition, led by Prof. Patrik Vuilleumier (see https://www.unige.ch/medecine/neuf/en/research/grecherche/patrik-vuilleumier/ and https://www.campusbiotech.ch/en/node/328) but he/she will also have strong links with other research groups on Campus Biotech and at EPFL (Lausanne) as well as clinicians at the University Hospital of Geneva (HUG).

Positions are funded for at least 2 years and maybe extended depending on funding resources. PhD students will take part to the Lemanic Neuroscience Doctoral School jointly run by UNIGE, UNIL, and EPFL (https://www.unil.ch/ln/en/home/menuinst/ln-doctoral-school.html).

The positions may start immediately, but the search will continue until the position is filled.

Please send a complete CV with one letter of motivation and two letters of recommendation to : patrik.vuilleumier@unige.ch
