Job Details
Drs. Josh Huang and Lindsey Glickfeld in the Neurobiology Department at Duke University are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to work jointly between the two labs on projects that address the cell type and neural circuit basis of visual cortical information processing. These studies will take advantage of cutting edge molecular genetic and systems neuroscience approaches to systematically examine how distinct sets of excitatory and inhibitory cell types are integrated into the cortical circuit to support sensory processing and perception. In addition to research activities, this position will provide excellent opportunities for advanced professional career development including presentations at national/international conferences, mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students, and experience with scientific writing. The ideal candidate will have a background in neuroscience at the circuits or systems level using electrophysiology or two-photon imaging, and experience programming in Python or Matlab. Interested applicants should send a cover letter (with research interests) and CV (with contact info for references) to Dr. Lindsey Glickfeld (lindsey.glickfeld@duke.edu).
