The Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology in the Long School of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at Associate or Professor level rank.  Individuals holding a Ph.D. and/or MD with an outstanding record of innovative research and academic performance, and with demonstrated expertise in areas of research that address developmental and/or functional aspects of glial biology, including microglia, and glia/neuron relationships in glioblastomas or neuropathologies are encouraged to apply.  The successful candidate will receive a highly competitive start-up package and state-of-the-art laboratory space, and will be expected to establish a vigorous externally funded independent research program, provide exemplary mentorship, engage in productive scientific collaborations; and become members of our Integrated Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program to recruit and train graduate students.
