The Lifespan Cognition Lab (PI: Teal Eich) in the Davis School of Gerontology at USC seeks highly motivated, intellectually curious, and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Research Scholars with an interest in the cognitive neuroscience of aging, with a focus on memory and executive function.  

Postdocs will work with an already existing data set, which includes a large battery of cognitive, neuropsychological and imaging variables collected on younger and older adults.  Primary duties include analyzing and interpreting data, writing manuscripts, presenting at national and international conferences, and assisting with grant writing.  The Postdoctoral Research Scholar will have access to numerous opportunities for professional development, including support for pilot studies and competitive grant applications, workshops on quantitative methods, speaker series, writing and grantsmanship workshops, at USC.  This position is intended to help the candidate prepare for and achieve an independent research career. 

A background in cognitive or clinical psychology, neuropsychology, or neuroscience, with experience with MRI is ideal.  Excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills are critical, as is the ability to work both independently and within a team.  The position is for a one-year fixed term.  The position may be renewable for a second year, depending on performance and availability of grant funding.
