The Zagha Lab (zaghalab.com) at the University of California Riverside is inviting applications for 1 or 2 full-time post-doc positions to join a newly developed, highly collaborative translational research project. The goal of the project is to develop a drug delivery platform for focal drug targeting. This research project is interdisciplinary, involving materials engineering, pharmacology, small animal surgery, histology, and electrophysiology. The postdoctoral fellow will be leading the collaboration between the labs of Dr. Edward Zagha (Psychology), Dr. Huinan Liu (Bioengineering), and Dr. Byron Ford (Biomedical Sciences).
A PhD in Neuroscience, Bioengineering, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline is required at the time of the appointment. Candidates who are ABD at the time of application will be considered. Excellent organizational and communication skills are also required. Applicants must have demonstrated proficiency in experimental ‘wet lab’ research skills. Relevant research skills, and preferred qualifications, include animal surgery, pharmacology, histology, materials engineering, and electrophysiology.
