Outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences. The Famakin lab seeks a highly motivated candidate with some undergraduate research experience who will be a part of the research team studying innate immunity and focal cerebral ischemia. Our lab uses the rodent model of experimental cerebral ischemia in our studies. We also use molecular tools such as RT-PCR, Western blotting and immunohistochemistry to study the innate immune response to focal cerebral ischemia.
Job Duties: The successful candidate will learn how to perform the rodent model of experimental cerebral ischemia (50% of job duties) and will plan and execute experiments involving the above molecular biology techniques and cell culture.
