UW-Madison Comparative Biosciences are seeking an individual to initiate projects investigating the molecular and biochemical mechanisms contributing to synaptic aberrations in rodent translational models of psychiatric conditions such as autism spectrum disorders, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Key approaches to be utilized include viral-mediated gene transfer, in vivo neural circuit manipulation, and super-resolution neuronal imaging.
A Ph.D. in neuroscience, biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, or a closely related field is required.
