A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately in the Department of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University (New York City). A primary focus of the laboratory is molecular and circuit-based analyses of mouse models of relevance to neuropsychiatric disorders across sensitive periods of neurodevelopment.

Qualified candidates should have a background in psychology and/or behavioral neuroscience. Experience with rodent models of learning and behavior is desirable. Familiarity with stereotaxic surgical techniques is encouraged. Applicants who have skills in only some of these disciplines but feel that they can easily learn the others are welcome to apply. Education

  • Ph.D in behavioral neuroscience, psychology, or other related fields.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge and experience with rodent models of learning and behavior preferred.
  • Familiarity with rodent stereotaxic surgical technique preferred.
  • Some level of proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or other statistical analysis programs are helpful, but not necessary.
