Job Details
The Program in Developmental Neuroscience and Neurogenetics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join a translational research project, led by Dr. Pat Levitt, investigating the impact of early life stress on the development and function of vagal gut-brain circuitry. Methodologies include utilization of a rodent model of early life stress, molecular biology, transcriptomics, bioinformatics and circuit mapping. The research fellow will participate in all levels of the research investigation, including experiment planning, data collection, data processing, established and innovative data analyses, and manuscript and abstract preparation. Some training and supervision of research assistants may be required. Professional development activities, including individual development plans, assistance with fellowship application, science communication skills and opportunities for academic growth are provided by the laboratory and institution.
