A joint postdoctoral position is available to study the cellular and neural circuit mechanisms of affective disorders in the labs of Ming-Hu Han and Scott Russo in the Departments of Pharmacological Sciences and Neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. We seek candidates who are interested in using electrophysiology, viral-mediated gene transfer, optogenetics and in vivo calcium imaging approaches to investigate the neural mechanisms underlying behavioral alterations in response to chronic stress in rodent models (Nature 493:532-6, 2013; Nature 534:688-92, 2016). Applicants with experience in slice electrophysiology, and who are willing to learn new techniques, are especially encouraged to apply. Experience with programming (MATLAB) is a plus. Please send your CV and a list of three references to Ming-Hu Han (ming-hu.han@mssm.edu) and Scott Russo (scott.russo@mssm.edu).
