Positions are available in the Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine (DAPM) at the rank of Assistant Professor (In residence series, tenure track). Competitive applicants will be nationally recognized researchers in the area of cardiovascular biology or neuroscience with a track record of or a trajectory to extramural funding to support their research. Research areas of strength within the DAPM Division of Molecular Medicine include cardiovascular signal transduction, metabolism, genomics, epigenetics, ion channel biology, vascular biology and imaging. Investigators who can build on the existing strengths within the department as well as establish new programs utilizing core facilities on campus to further strengthen extramurally funded research are particularly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to be affiliated with Cardiovascular Research Theme ( https://medschool.ucla.edu/cardiovascular) or Neuroscience Research Theme ( https://medschool.ucla.edu/neuroscience) at UCLA. Candidates should have PhD or MD/PhD in relevant discipline and demonstrated achievement in scholarly publications and external engagement with the scientific community.
