The IBioBA is the partner Institute of the Max Planck Society (MPG) and CONICET in Buenos Aires. The institute is devoted to cutting‐edge experimental and theoretical research on the principles and mechanisms of cellular and molecular biology with a translational focus, and to the training of the next generation of outstanding young scientists in Argentina. The partner institute is funded by CONICET and operates according to the scientific standards of the MPG and its institutes.

The IBioBA is seeking candidates for the position of

DIRECTOR of the INSTITUTE

The successful candidate will be expected to be/have
‐ an excellent, internationally highly visible scientist conducting research in one of the institute’s three main areas, i.e. molecular targeting, neuroscience and cellular plasticity.
‐ several years of experience in conducting research in Argentina/Latin America as well as abroad, ideally in Europe/Germany.
‐ several years of experience dealing with science policy, understanding its mechanisms in Latin American countries, preferably Argentina, and have established an active science policy network.
‐ a person with leadership qualities, fully committed to serve the IBioBA during its next phase and striving to maintain and improve its excellent standing both on the national and international level.
‐ committed to the continuing mentoring and education of the next generation of outstanding young scientists in Argentina.
