the Research Assistant II collaborates with the Principal Investigator (PI) and research collaborators in reaching research goals in the Neurodevelopmental Medicine EEG Lab. The Research Assistant II role will assist and support the acquisition, manipulation, and analysis of data, as well as the reporting results. In particular, our work includes: 1) support the preprocessing of large EEG dataset in developing population, 2) maintain databases and EEG/PSG processing pipeline 3) test and develop new features. 4) implement quality assurance protocols for EEG/PSG datasets.
**Engineering or neuroscience background with strong MRI/EEG/MEG experience highly desired
Responsibilities
Implement, execute, and maintain EEG/PSG analysis pipelines. Conducts EEG & behavioral experiments and collects data from research subjects. Explore novel software packages and problem-solving for issues with current and planned software packages. Develop graphs, reports, and presentations of project results. Assists in the development of new analysis techniques, through reading of journal articles, programming, trouble-shooting and effective reporting/documentation. Mentor junior research staff in data analysis theory and implementation. Perform statistical analyses for projects and reports. Maintain research databases to keep track of data archiving and analysis. May develop or modify programming of research databases/applications. Assist with formulating recommendations on research design and conceptualization; demonstrates ability to improve research protocols, methods, and techniques used in research and data analysis. Mentor the work of undergraduate students involved in EEG/PSG research. Attend regular research meetings. Enhance professional growth and development through case conferences, educational programs, in-service meetings, workshops, conferences, and seminars.
