A postdoctoral fellowship position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Amjad Shehadah at the Department of Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. Dr. Shehadah’s laboratory focuses on investigating the molecular mechanisms that regulate cell injury and recovery processes after stroke. The candidate must have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD. The position will provide a core foundation of knowledge and training in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, epigenetics, tissue culture, behavioral testing, and mouse stroke modeling. The desirable candidate is someone with previous experience in neuroscience research. The candidate must be comfortable with working with rodents and will be trained in animal models of stroke and behavioral testing if they do not have previous experience. Salary will depend on experience.
