Job Details
Postdoctoral Research Associate Norman and Cohen labs, Princeton Neuroscience Institute and Department of Psychology, Princeton University
Professors Ken Norman and Jonathan Cohen are seeking a postdoctoral research associate or more senior researcher to work on an NIH / BRAIN-initiative-funded project aimed at developing an open-source, cloud-based framework for advanced real-time fMRI analysis. Initial work on developing the framework has been completed (https://github.com/brainiak/rt-cloud). The postdoctoral researcher's primary responsibilities would be 1) adding functionality to the framework, and 2) promoting use of the framework, by developing sample projects and collaborating with other researchers to help them apply the framework to their projects. The postdoctoral researcher will also be given the opportunity to design and run their own real-time fMRI studies using the framework.
Essential qualifications for this position include: a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field, and fluency in Python programming. Preferred qualifications include extensive experience in working with human brain imaging data, experience with open-source software development, and a strong publication record of original research in cognitive and/or computational neuroscience. Questions can be addressed to Professor Ken Norman, knorman@princeton.edu. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled. The term of this appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding.
Applications from members of groups historically under-represented in Neuroscience are encouraged.
Interested applicants must apply online at https://www.princeton.edu/acad-positions/position/19522 and include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae including a publication list, and contact information of at least two references.
