We are looking for a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to work on RNA biology in the nervous system.
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jernej Murn in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of California, Riverside. Projects will focus on post-transcriptional RNA processing and the role of RNA modifications in neurogenesis and in neurological disorders. We employ a host of cutting-edge biochemical and transcriptome-wide approaches, such as iCLIP and ribosome profiling, CRISPR-mediated genome editing, proteomics, high-resolution microscopy, in vitro neuronal differentiation, and use of transgenic animals.
A successful candidate will have a strong background in biochemistry and molecular biology. Prior training in RNA biology, neurobiology and/or bioinformatics is desirable. For more information about the lab, please visit https://www.murnlab.info/.
The position is available starting immediately. Interested applicants should send their curriculum vitae and contact information of three referees to Dr. Murn at jernej.murn@ucr.edu.
