Job Details
The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a faculty position at any rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor – tenure-track or tenured) for a joint appointment in the Dell Medical School (DMS) and College of Natural Sciences (CNS).
We seek innovative candidates with outstanding potential to synergize interdisciplinary investigations across areas of neuroscience at DMS (in the Departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences of the Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences) and CNS (in the Department of Neuroscience). Areas of special interest are basic and applied studies of neurodegeneration and neuroinflammation, including those with translational potential. Candidates may help build new areas of strength or build on existing strengths of learning and memory, addiction, ion channel structure/function, computational/theory, and perceptual systems.
We are especially interested in candidates who are committed to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion through innovations in mentoring, education, and outreach. The University views inclusiveness, teaching, and excellence as interconnected in the work of its faculty.

Qualifications
These positions require an M.D., Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degrees.
