Senior Research Scientist, Neurotechnology

a Senior Research Scientist with neuroscience emphasis to join a team of accomplished researchers that are leading programs in neurotechnology, including the neural bridging program published in Nature,
featured in the media including CBS This Morning, CNN, the Washington Post, and recipient of multiple R&D100 awards. This position is located in Columbus, OH.
JOB SUMMARY
This role will propose and perform advanced engineering research and analysis and provide thought leadership through publications in refereed journals, conference presentations, patents, and/or technology
commercialization.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
•Develop the fundamental science and understanding of novel neurotechnologies, focused on brain-computer interfaces
•Design and lead clinical, pre-clinical and laboratory neurotechnology studies
•Propose and lead neurotechnology tasks and programs within defined scope, schedule and budget
•Inform product development of neural technology sub-systems, including for example neural assistive and neural rehabilitative systems
•Analyze complex neural data making use of signal processing techniques
•Design software to interface with and process real time position sensor data
THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED
•Ph.D. in an Engineering, Life Science, or related discipline relevant to neurotechnology, neuromodulation and 5+ years of experience in the field.
•Experience with brain-computer interface technologies for stimulation and/or recording, motor/sensory related nerve signal decoding, or deep brain stimulation.
•Evidence of thought leadership in neurotechnology as indicated by publications in refereed journals, conference presentations, patents, and/or technology commercialization.
•Excellent technical writing skills as demonstrated by strong first-author journal publications and grant proposals
•Requires US persons as defined by US export control laws.
