We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position Head of Molecular Core.   

The selected candidate will work to enhance, run, and lead the Molecular Core facility at the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience. This core facility will partner with and advise our Research Group Leaders, Scientific Directors, and other scientists by providing expertise related to the molecular analyses of neuronal circuits.

A PhD and a minimum of 3 years of related scientific experience is required, preferably in an academic environment.  Must have demonstrated extensive experience in molecular/cellular neuroscience, as well as neuronal circuit analyses.  Must be familiar with cutting-edge technologies in cloning, genome editing, protein and RNA chemistry, RNAseq, virus preparation, and related experimental techniques and must be willing to keep this knowledge current.  The selected candidate must possess demonstrated excellence in writing, interpreting, organizing, and communicating and must possess high levels of discretion, professional judgment, ethics, and confidentiality. The successful candidate will be an ambitious self-starter, motivated to apply their skills to diverse projects and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
