The Kheirbek lab in the Department of Psychiatry and the Center for Integrative Neuroscience at the University of California, San Francisco is currently recruiting for open postdoctoral positions. Research will focus on delineating the neural circuits that generate emotional behavior in mouse models. This includes projects related to the role of extended hippocampal-cortical-subcortical networks in the control of learning and mood/anxiety-related behavior. Techniques used include calcium imaging (2-photon, miniature microscopes, fiber photometry), optogenetics, high density single cell physiology, slice electrophysiology, mouse behavior and data analysis techniques. More information on the lab and recent publications available at www.kheirbeklab.org, and the diverse and collaborative environment at UCSF neuroscience at www.cin.ucsf.edu, weill.ucsf.edu and www.psych.ucsf.edu. To apply, please contact Mazen Kheirbek (email@example.com) with CV, brief description of previous work and research interests, and contact information for references.
