Neuroscience Postdoctoral Position- UW Madison Comparative Biosciences
A neuroscience postdoctoral position is available in laboratory of Michael Cahill at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Department of Comparative Biosciences. The Cahill laboratory began at UW-Madison in 2017 with the overarching goal of determining the involvement of molecular and biochemical alterations identified in neuropsychiatric disorders in causing key neuronal structural, neuronal functional, and behavioral phenotypes.
We are seeking an individual to initiate projects investigating the molecular and biochemical mechanisms contributing to synaptic aberrations in translational models of autism spectrum disorders, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder. Key approaches to be utilized include viral-mediated gene transfer, in vivo neural circuit manipulation, and super-resolution neuronal imaging.
A Ph.D. in neuroscience, biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, or a closely related field is required. Previous experience with molecular cloning, synaptic imaging, and mouse genetics is essential.
Please send an updated CV, a brief statement of research interests, and the contact information for 3 people who can send letters of reference using the following email address: email@example.com
