Job Details
Postdoctoral positions, funded through an NIH institutional T32 training grant (https://mnadrt.rutgers.edu/) and individual NIH R01 grants, are available at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (http://animalsciences.rutgers.edu/faculty/sarkar). Duties involve research determining fetal alcohol's neuroimmune and/or epigenetic effects on the neuroendocrine system and their impacts on stress biology and immune functions. The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience, molecular biology, or other related areas. Research experience in rodent surgery, cell cultures, molecular biology, and exosome and epigenetic research is preferred. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior fellows and graduate students and train undergraduate students. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to receive support from the T32 training grant or must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or hold a visa to work in the U.S. to receive support from R01 grants. Comparable salary support is available. The Rutgers–New Brunswick campus is located in a suburban area of central New Jersey with convenient access to major metropolitan areas including New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
