Job Details

The Princeton Neuroscience Institute invites applications at the Assistant Professor level (tenure track), in all areas of neuroscience, including cellular, molecular, systems, behavioral, computational, and developmental. We encourage both theoreticians and experimentalists to apply. The Institute is highly collaborative and is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community. In addition to other outstanding neuroscience resources at Princeton, the Institute is housed in a recently constructed 248,000 square foot building with state-of-the-art computing resources for modeling and data analysis, as well as support for the full range of neuroscientific methods, including cellular and circuit level imaging and recording in animal model systems, human brain imaging, and studies in non-human primates.

Key selection criteria will include research track record, originality of science, and anticipated impact on the field of neuroscience and related disciplines. We strongly encourage applications from individuals who identify as members of groups that are underrepresented in science. Applicants should be prepared to teach courses both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Applicants must apply online and include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a brief summary of current and proposed research, and contact information for at least three references. Candidates are welcome to include a brief statement of how they can help us foster diversity, equity and inclusion at Princeton. For fullest consideration, materials should be received by December 7, 2020.

Princeton offers a range of services and resources to promote the health and well-being of faculty members and their families in support of work-life balance and childcare.

Princeton University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. These positions are subject to the University’s background check policy.
