We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral research fellows to join the lab of Dr. Giuseppina Tesco in the Department of Neuroscience at Tufts University. NIH funded post-doctoral positions are immediately available to study cell-type specific Alzheimer’s disease genetic variants using a novel bioengineered model of iPSC-derived neuronal tissue.
Requirements: Primary responsibilities include iPSC cultures and their differentiation in neurons, microglia and astrocytes. Applicants with additional skills including cellular and molecular biology techniques, genome-editing, confocal microscopy, MEA recordings will be preferred.
Applicants must also be fluent in spoken and written English.
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking and the ability to independently generate precise, reliable data and interpret them. Candidate should have a record of research that can be applied to the fields of interest, with a strong publication record.
