FACULTY POSITION, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (TENURE-TRACK)

The Institute of Neurobiology (INb-UNAM) located in Querétaro City, México, is seeking an outstanding scientist for a Team Leader position in the field of Translational Neurobiology.

We will prioritize the recruitment of a junior researcher in the hope of significant future development. The successful candidate will start in a definite-term position (equivalent to Assistant Professor, with tenure-track).  However, we will also consider established investigators who have already made outstanding achievements.

The following skills and experience are required:

  • Ph D degree with postdoctoral experience in the field of translational research oriented to neuroscience.
  • Experience in scientific activities in basic biomedical research institutes or hospital centers with clinical investigation.
  • Publications in high-impact journals for at least 3 years in the field of translational research.

Applicants should submit the electronic files of 1) a cover letter with a brief summary of their research program and previous  experience supervising students and teaching, 2) curriculum vitae with probatory documents, 3) an original research project with future research plans, 4) Ph.D. degree; and 5) three professional references.

The letters should be signed by the person writing the letter and addressed to Dr. Teresa Morales-Guzmán, Director of the Institute of Neurobiology. All files and recommendation letters should be written in English and should be submitted to Dr. Mauricio Díaz-Muñoz (mdiaz@comunidad.unam.mx, Academic Dean of the Institute of Neurobiology).

The Institute of Neurobiology at UNAM (www.inb.unam.mx) is located in Juriquilla UNAM Campus in the City of Querétaro México.  Spanish is the primary language used in activities at INb, including seminars and administration.
