Job Details
The Dragoi laboratory at Yale University is inviting applications for postdoctoral positions to investigate the functional organization of neuronal ensembles in hippocampal-neocortical circuits during postnatal development and adulthood. The lab is focused on understanding the emergence, organization and plasticity of cellular assemblies in the hippocampus and associated neocortical brain areas underlying internal representation of space and time during learning and memory processes. Studies are performed on freely-behaving rodents (mice and rats) using large-scale electrophysiological recordings, optogenetics, and computational/quantitative analysis.
The ideal candidate would have a background in Neuroscience or related fields, a good record of scientific publications, good oral and written communication skills. Previous experience with in vivo electrophysiology, quantitative data analysis and computer programming in Matlab are all preferred.
To apply, please send your CV, 1-page statement describing your research interests, relevant background, and career goals, and contact information for 2-3 reference letters to: george.dragoi@yale.edu.
