The successful candidate will participate in federal and private-funded projects aiming to understand the function and molecular mechanism of autophagy (an essential lysosomal degradation pathway) in the regulation of neuronal cell metabolism and reward and social behaviors, using knockout, knockin and transgenic mouse models, cell biology, biochemistry, imaging and state-of-the-art behavioral techniques (Lab website: http://labs.feinberg.northwestern.edu/congconghe/home/). Prior research experience in metabolic and/or neurological diseases in mouse models is particularly desirable. He Laboratory is stably supported by funding from National Institutes of Health, private foundations, and Northwestern University.
