The Broad Institute is in search of a highly motivated Research Scientist to join the therapeutics team at the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research. The mission of the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research is to reveal the genetic and biological underpinnings of psychiatric disorders in order to discover next generation therapeutics. The therapeutic team bring together a group of creative, collaborative, and determined neuroscientists to focus on translational studies in search for next generation therapeutics.  The candidate will develop cellular, pharmacological/physiological, and neurobiological assays in vitro and/or in vivo in order to 1) understand the impact of psychiatric disease-associated genetic variations on protein targets and on neurobiology; 2) understand how target proteins are modulated by identified molecules.  The candidate will be a key member of multidisciplinary project teams contributing to genetics-motivated therapeutics projects.
