Job Details

This postdoctoral fellowship position is full time and expected to last three years. We anticipate a start date in the summer, 2020 although start-date is negotiable. The successful applicant will mostly work on NIH-funded projects in the lab, including EEG and cardiovascular disturbances during sleep in adolescent insomnia, sleep and memory in women across the lifespan, and longitudinal studies about sleep, brain function, and behaviors in adolescents.

Our lab specializes in multidisciplinary data collection and integration, both in-lab and at home. The focus of this post-doc opportunity is on biosignal processing and analysis of data across projects (e.g. EEG spectral analysis, heart rate and blood pressure variability) using programs/algorithms in MATLAB, Python, R, or similar analytic tools. The applicant is also expected to be involved in the lab’s other research activities, including data collection, research outputs (presentations, writing manuscripts for publication), and development of new research initiatives.

 

 

Opportunities to pursue independent funding (e.g., through NIH grant proposals) will be provided and encouraged.

 

 

Qualifications

  • PhD degree in neuroscience, computer science, electrical engineering, psychology, or related field
  • Expertise in psychophysiological data processing (e.g. EEG, autonomic, cardiovascular signals), and advanced biosignal processing & analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Highly motivated, self-starter and independent, as well as team player
