Postdoctoral researcher: neurophysiology of the central auditory system
Looking for a highly motivated individual for an NIH-funded postdoctoral position to investigate cellular mechanisms of synaptic plasticity and dendritic physiology in brainstem sound localization circuits. The postdoctoral researcher will support projects under the leadership of Bradley Winters, Ph.D. using advanced neurophysiological and multiphoton imaging methods. This work utilizes in vitro brain slice preparations from mice and gerbils. Techniques used include dendritic dual whole-cell patch-clamp, calcium imaging, and immunohistochemistry. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in a neuroscience-related field. Experience in electrophysiology and calcium imaging are desirable.
