Project Summary:

Multiple postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Yi-Rong Peng, Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology, Jules Stein Eye Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles. The Peng lab focuses on exploiting and developing state-of-the-art high throughput omic (genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic) tools in order to decipher the genetic codes that determine cell types, investigate the molecular underpinnings of the formation of a specialized central retinal region in humans, and reveal the pathogenetic mechanisms of retinal degenerative diseases. Requirements for the Position:

Candidates must have (or be near completion) a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in neurobiology, physiology, stem cell biology, and related disciplines. Candidates with research experience in big-data analysis/bioinformatics, electrophysiology, or stem cell techniques are especially encouraged to apply. Visiting scholars at all stages are welcome to join the lab.
