Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position in Neurovascular Coupling

The Department Physiology (http://www.augusta.edu/mcg/phy/) at The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University invites applications for a highly motivated full-time postdoctoral research scholar position. The laboratory focuses on the signaling mechanisms underlying the impact cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and brain hypoperfusion have on neurovascular dysfunction, a process tightly linked to neurovascular uncoupling and cognitive decline. Technical expertise in at least one of the following areas is highly encouraged: molecular biology, microcirculation (e.g., arteriole cannulation), patch-clamp electrophysiolgy, in vivo two-photon imaing, in situ live confocal microscopy, or immunohistochemistry.
