The University of Florida is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Research position under the direction of Dr. Robert M. Caudle. This position requires a highly motivated individual to oversee the preclinical development of a biological therapy for the treatment of chronic facial pain. The research project focuses on the genetic modification of biological toxins to manipulate neuronal function. This work includes the modification of plasmids, culturing bacteria and mammalian cells, protein purification, and immunohistochemistry. Experience with rodent nociception assays is a plus.
The position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a biomedical science, knowledge of molecular biological techniques, statistics, and excellent writing and verbal skills.
