Postdoctoral Position at Florida State University

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Douglas Storace in the department of Biological Science at Florida State University.

The Storace lab uses innovative techniques that include wide-field and 2-photon multicolor imaging to monitor different indicators of neural activity (e.g., calcium, voltage, different neuromodulators). These techniques are used to address questions about how sensory information is encoded and transformed through the olfactory system. What are the roles of different cell types? What are the mechanisms that contribute to various sensory transformations? How does past experience and state shape the flow of sensory input into the brain?

The resources at FSU are outstanding. The Storace lab is housed in a diverse and highly collaborative environment in which the applicant will be encouraged to take advantage of. This includes a large neuroscience community with major strengths in chemosensory systems. FSU is located in the bright and vibrant downtown of Tallahassee, the capital of Florida.

For more information, visit the Storace lab website:

A PhD in neuroscience or related fields is required. The position is available immediately. Interested applicants should send a CV and the names of 2-3 references to Dr. Douglas Storace at dstorace{at}fsu{dot}edu
