Research Fellow in Neuroscience
The Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit and Sainsbury Wellcome Centre at UCL have designed a unique Fellowship opportunity for innovative and creative researchers working at the interface of theory and experimental neuroscience, and who are seeking to build independence. The GCNU/SWC Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Neuroscience will design, develop and deliver a research project that bridges the gap between computational, theoretical and experimental neuroscience.
The post is funded for 3 years in the first instance, with the possibility of a further 2 years funding pending successful review of progress.
The successful applicant will have an innovative research proposal that bridges computational/theoretical and systems/circuit/experimental neuroscience and experience planning and delivering your own projects. You'll have a PhD in neuroscience or a related field and a strong background in contemporary systems neuroscience methods and computational neuroscience theory. The ability to build strong collaborative working relationships and an understanding of the mission and research environment of GCNU and SWC is essential.
