We seek a highly skilled and motivated post-doctoral fellow interested in the neurophysiological basis of causal inference across the prefrontal cortex and basal ganglia. Our goals are to understand the the mechanistic roles of the PFC in processing feedback for learning, and the ways in which different prefrontal sub-regions relay information across task phases. Experiments employ large arrays of electrodes to record neuronal activity during structured and naturalistic tasks.

The lab is located within the highly collaborative Brown Neuroscience department and the Carney Institute for Neuroscience.  The environment is significantly enriched by close interactions with members of other research groups. The fellow will be encouraged to attend and participate in multiple, active seminar series and journal clubs. Information about our lab can be found at www.asaadlab.org.
