Oklahoma State University - Center for Health Sciences is hiring for a Postdoctoral Fellow position which offers an exciting opportunity to join an integrated and innovative academic research program focused on neuropharmacology and neuroinflammation. The successful candidate will participate in a project focused on the modulation of a7 nicotinic receptors as a strategy for treating neuropathic pain. Both in vitro and in vivo approaches will be used. The successful candidate will also receive training in manuscript preparation, grant writing, and other aspects of professional development.
Two years of institutional funding have been secured for this position.
Publications in peer-reviewed journals are to be expected.

- Ph.D. in Pharmacology or related discipline
- Experience in cell culture (e.g. microglia, astrocytes), immunoblotting, and assessment of rodent behavior
- Experience in pain-related behavior (e.g. drug-induced neuropathic pain)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate interactions with technicians, faculty, and students
