NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Patrick Drew (http://www.esm.psu.edu/~pjd17). The lab works on dissecting the mechanistic basis of neurovascular coupling (Winder et al., Nature Neuroscience, 2017), and on understanding the dynamics of cerebrospinal fluid flow (Norwood et al., eLife, 2019). We use a combination of chemogenetic, optical (two-photon microscopy, intrinsic imaging), and electrophysiological techniques to understand these processes in mice.
We are looking for an independent, highly motivated scientist to join an interdisciplinary group of scientists and engineers. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in neuroscience, biology, biomedical engineering, physiology or a related field, and at least one first author publication. The candidate should have excellent English communication skills, and ideally will have experience with in vivo approaches. The position is for one year, with extension contingent on funding and satisfactory performance.
Candidates should submit a statement of research interests, a CV, and contact information for references here: https://psu.jobs/job/91493
Applications will be reviewed upon receipt and will be accepted until the position is filled.
