PhD Scientist: Neurodegenerative Research (Alzheimer's Disease)
The Boston University School of Medicine/Bedford Veterans Hospital Alzheimer Research Laboratory is seeking a PhD scientist to conduct research in neurodegenerative diseases. The primary function is to understand molecular mechanism of Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathogenesis for novel target discovery and therapeutic development, with focus on biomarker exploration using human blood, brain tissue and induced pluripotent stem cell-derived three dimensional neuronal tissue. Successful candidate will expect to use MSD and Luminex ELISA platforms, triple quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (MS), Orbitrap MS, CyTOF MS and/or Imaging MS in the PI's lab to perform quantitative and discovery research. Scientists who received the PhD degree after 2015 are eligible for the VA principal investigator (PI)-track position and be sponsored to develop independent research programs.
