Postdoctoral Fellow at The Shirley Ryan Abilitylab
We are looking for a PostDoctoral Fellow to join our lab. Our current research focuses on furthering our understanding of human motor control, their respective pathways, and their pathophysiology after spinal cord injury. Our lab investigates Corticospinal and Reticulospinal contributions to voluntary movement as well as the mechanisms underlying spasticity after SCI. Our methods of investigation include transcranial magnetic stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, and transcutaneous electrical spinal stimulation.

Essential duties and responsibility
Participates in the recruitment and evaluation of research subjects.
Designs, executes, and analyzes experiments within a laboratory team environment and a larger research program of engineers, physical therapists, and neuroscientists.
Reviews, analyzes, and reports relevant literature in weekly lab meetings.
Assists the PI in the preparation of manuscripts and grant applications relevant to the experimental work.
Supervises and mentors undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory techniques.
Will perform other related duties, as assigned.
Education and qualification requirement
Qualified candidates must hold a Ph.D. or M.D. degree in Neuroscience or relevant biological sciences. Effective communication skills, highly motivated, self-driven, creative, and interactive, ability to work collaboratively and independently are also required.
