Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neurobiology at Duke University
A postdoctoral position is available to study the neural circuit basis of visual perception in the lab of Dr. Lindsey Glickfeld at Duke University (https://www.neuro.duke.edu/). We have recently been funded to reveal how cell-type specific activation of cholinergic receptors in the visual cortex contributes to sensory processing and perception. The successful candidate will use a combination of calcium imaging, chemogenetics and behavior in the rodent to study the neural circuit mechanisms that underlie spatial attention. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, highly motivated scientist with experience in calcium imaging and/or electrophysiology, preferably in vivo. The Duke Neurobiology community provides an ambitious, supportive and collaborative research environment, and offers excellent training and career development opportunities. Qualified candidates should send their CV, a statement of research interests and goals, and the names and contact information of 3 references to Lindsey Glickfeld at email@example.com.
