The laboratory of Slav Bagriantsev ( is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to conduct research on neurophysiological and molecular basis of the sense of touch in vertebrates.

We use a multidisciplinary approach (in vitro and ex vivo electrophysiology, microscopy and behavior) in standard and non-standard model organisms (mice, tactile specialist birds and fish) to gain mechanistic understanding of how mechanoreceptors and pain receptors in the peripheral nervous system detect various aspects of mechanical touch.

Our lab benefits from the superb intellectual and scientific environment of Yale University. Postdocs have access to basic scientific, translational and clinical research seminars, and plentiful resources for career development.

Experience with electrophysiology is a plus, but not required. Applicants should email Slav at
