Job Summary

Full-time faculty position that includes undergraduate teaching, academic advising, and scholarly research in the Psychology Department and the multi-disciplinary Neuroscience program. Commitment to the evangelical Christian orientation of the University and its liberal arts educational mission is essential.  


Teach the equivalent of a full seven-course load per year, including some combination of the following: Physiological Psychology, Conditioning & Learning, Introduction to Neuroscience, Neuroscience Seminars, Introduction to Statistical Methods & Experimental Design, Research Principles & Laboratory, Cognitive Psychology, or others, depending on specialties and departmental needs. 

Maintain an active program of scholarly research in which students can be engaged and for which lab start-up funds are available. Mentor students in their research projects. Fulfill general faculty responsibilities, including undergraduate student academic advising and committee assignments.


Strong teaching and mentoring. Conducting high-quality research and maintaining an active research lab. Demonstrating the integration of Christian faith and learning in teaching, scholarship, and service to others.


Demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, mentoring students in their research projects, and maintaining an active program of scholarly research. Previous experience in undergraduate teaching is preferred. Record of scholarly publications will be an asset.


Ph.D. in Neuroscience or closely related field.
