Faculty Positions in the Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science, McGovern Medical School, University of Texas at Houston

We seek applications at any level to fill three Tenure Track faculty positions in the Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at McGovern Medical School, UTHealth at Houston.  Senior appointments with current NEI funding will also be considered.  Primary responsibility is to conduct research on the structure and function of the retina, including translational approaches, within the broad field of Visual Neuroscience.  A competitive start-up and salary package will be offered.  Candidates must hold an MD, Ph.D. or equivalent, show demonstrated research productivity and the ability to establish and maintain an innovative externally funded research program.  The group holds an NEI Vision Core Grant and Core Facilities include a Confocal Microscope Facility and a Two-Photon Microscope.
