The Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience wants to understand how circuits of nerve cells enable us to see and respond to the world. Researchers increasingly understand how perception, thought processes and body movements are programmed by circuits of nerve cells in different brain structures. Through the combination of fundamental research with unique lab facilities and databases, the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience is the Dutch national hub for research into brain activity underlying perception, thinking and movement generation.
