West Virginia University

West Virginia University is a research-intensive, land-grant institution with roughly 30,000 students nestled in scenic Morgantown, WV. Morgantown offers a “small town feel” with many outdoor recreation activities, while still being in close proximity to several large cities. Research in the Department of Neuroscience at WVU (http://neuroscience.wvu.edu/) spans the full breadth of fundamental neuroscience, from stroke and neurodegeneration to addiction to sensory neuroscience, with an emphasis on translational applications. The Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute represents a bold, new thrust for the neurosciences at WVU. Focused on unlocking the mysteries of the human brain, our doctors and researchers are solving some of our biggest problems locally and taking those solutions globally to the world.
