The University of Minnesota Neuromodulation Research Center, under the direction of Dr. Jerrold Vitek as center director of the Udall Center of Excellence for Parkinson’s Research and the Neuromodulation Research Program, is a interdisciplinary unit inside the Neurology Department studying the pathologies of movement disorders in pre-clinical and clinical models. Our interdisciplinary team brings together a wealth of expertise to examine movement disorders, device based therapies, and translational research. We seek outstanding scientists interested in working in a NIH funded research program studying motor systems neurophysiology, the pathophysiology of Parkinson's disease, and mechanisms of deep brain stimulation in Parkinson's disease.
